Free Yellow Ribbon Available For Local Charities
Cedarburg, Wis., April 4, 2003
FundRaising.Com, a company that helps school groups, churches, and charities raise money, is offering to donate 25,000 feet of yellow ribbon to small charities, schools and community groups across the country that want to support our troops.
The durable, yellow plastic ribbon is printed with the phrase, "'Till The Troops Come Home" and comes in 1,000 foot rolls. The organizations are free to sell the ribbon as a fundraiser or use it in any other way they see fit to benefit their organization and its work. The organizations can be located in any state.
Lauralee Oenick, vice president of marketing for FundRaising.Com, said, "We are giving away twenty-five thousand feet of yellow ribbon - with no strings attached - in an effort to do our part to support the troops. We hope that charities and non-profit groups will use this ribbon to help show support for our troops in their local communities."
Organizations who are interested in receiving free yellow ribbon, can submit their request by visiting www.FundRaising.com and clicking on the 'Free Yellow Ribbon' link. The twenty-five most deserving organizations will be chosen by a committee of company employees. No phone calls please.
