What Kind of Information Do We Collect?

When you select a school, church, or charity, or when you sign up for a newsletter, you are offered a chance to provide your name and e-mail address. When you request sample fundraising products, we collect a shipping address and general information about the group doing the fundraising. How Do We Use the Information You Provide Us?

We may use any information you provide us within Fundraising.com for marketing research and other marketing purposes. We may also use certain information about your product preferences to send you e-mails about special offers or items we believe you might be interested in.

We use your order information or we pass it on to our suppliers to ensure that the products you order are delivered to the location you specify.

We may choose to do so in the future with selected third parties, but you may elect not to have your information released to these parties by notifying us at efr-fr-filter@rd.com. We will notify you via this web page if we ever change our policy concerning the rental or sale of personal information.

When you purchase products to be delivered by our business partners or suppliers, we provide them with the personal information they require to process and deliver your order.

We may sell, trade or share non-personal aggregate or summary information about our customers with our strategic partners, advertisers or other third parties. This information does not contain any personal data specifically identifiable with you.

We retain the right to release your personal information to proper authorities when required by law or when we in good faith believe that we must release the information in order to: (a) satisfy a legal order or comply with legal process; (b) defend the rights of Fundraising.com or its affiliates or business partners; or (c) protect the personal safety of Fundraising.com employees, agents, affiliates, business partners, customers or site users.

OUR "SHOP" SERVICE

The Fundraising.com "Shop" service allows users to support a designated school or school group merely by shopping online using the Shop service. From the Fundraising.com home page, users click on the Shop service and then click on the school directory. From this directory you can pick from the list of existing schools or you can enter a new school under the Enter a School icon. Fundraising.com also allows you to select from among high school groups such as band, cheerleading, etc. Once your school or group is entered, you simply click on the shopping directory to select the list of merchants which are participating in our Shop program. These merchants include some of the best known brand names available online. These merchants will pay a referral fee between 1% and 50% of your purchase to Fundraising.com. Fundraising.com will pass along 100% of the referral fee to your chosen school, church, or charity.

Your school or group will not receive the referral fee unless you link to the merchant through Fundraising.com and you accept delivery and make payment for your purchases. The referral fee generated for your school or group will vary depending upon the merchant and is listed next to each merchant's link on the "shop" page.

The price you pay to these merchants is the same as if you purchase from them directly. You will not be charged any extra to generate the referral fee. The referral fee is not tax deductible to you since you are paying the same price that other purchasers would pay if they went to the merchant directly. Unlike other fundraising mall services, Fundraising.com does not keep any portion of the referral fee and 100% will be paid to your school or group. Your school or group will not incur any costs or be charged any amount to participate in the program and, therefore, all dollars will directly benefit your school or group.

Your transaction will be directly with the merchant, and all of the merchants' typical rules will apply regarding credits and returns. Fundraising.com will not be a party to this transaction and will not be responsible for the quality of the goods or failure by the merchant to perform. You should review the merchant's return policy on the merchant's web page. If you have any questions or comments regarding any merchant's service, you should contact each merchant directly.

You agree that use of the Shop service is AT YOUR SOLE RISK AND IS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND BY FUNDRAISING.COM, EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR OTHERWISE INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF TITLE, FITNESS FOR PURPOSE, MERCHANTABILITY OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES IS FUNDRAISING.COM LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE TRANSACTIONS BETWEEN YOU AND MERCHANTS OR FOR ANY INFORMATION APPEARING ON MERCHANT SITES OR ANY OTHER SITE LINKED TO THE FUNDRAISING.COM SITE. FUNDRAISING.COM WILL NOT BE LIABLE TO USERS FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND THAT MAY RESULT FROM USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE FUNDRAISING.COM SERVICE OR FAILURE TO MAKE REFERRAL FEES TO THE DESIGNATED RECIPIENT.

All use of the Shop service will be subject to the rules, policies and procedures of Fundraising.com as in effect at the time of use. These rules, policies and procedures constitute the entire agreement and shall govern the relationship between the user and Fundraising.com.
