People to People Ambassador Program
People to People, is an organization founded by Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1956 as an effort to bring citizens around the world together to work toward world peace. Student Ambassadors experience unique interaction with local people during their homestay and school visits. Since 1963, over 125,000 students have safely traveled to worldwide destinations.
Student Ambassador's prepare for their travel by attending orientation meetings and learning ways in which to earn money for their experiences.
One participant, Tom K. from DePere, Wisconsin, has been actively earning money with the help of FundRaising.Com for his upcoming trip to Australia. Tom has sold Hershey's Candy Bars, Jack Links Beef Sticks and Jerky, and several varieties of lollipops. Tom has raised almost $800.00 for the upcoming experience.
Tom came to the FundRaising.Com family via the Internet. Tom's mom, Kathy, said that when she first opened up the box of lollipops, she felt a bit overwhelmed looking at 576 lollipops. Her fears were quickly put to rest when Tom sold the entire case before the end of the week. His buddies and friends at school were excited to see him so that they could make their purchases. Kathy also said she was impressed by how delicious the products were and how easy they were to sell.
The partnership between Tom and Fundraising.Com will continue to grow as he earns his way to Australia.
