'Pennies to Dollars' campaign

Milwaukee, Wis., September 21, 2001 - A Cedarburg company is working with small organizations nationwide to raise money for families and victims of the World Trade Center and Pentagon terrorist attacks.
FundRaising.Com, Cedarburg, is a nationwide distributor of fundraising products to schools, religious organizations, scouts and charities. The company is donating 8,000 of its "Pennies to Dollars" donation cards to nonprofit groups that want to raise money for the families of victims of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
The 8,000 cards could raise more than $1 million. Each donation card has pictures of the disaster and 40 scratch-off spots. Donors scratch off a spot to determine their donation amount. Each scratched-off spot shows a different dollar amount, ranging from $1 to $5. Each donation card will raise $125.
"We aren't big enough to donate $1 million ourselves, but we can provide the vehicle for small nonprofit groups to join together to reach that goal," said Dick Raddatz, chief executive officer of the company.
He expects hundreds of small organizations to use the free donation cards, allowing even the smallest of groups and the most modest of donations to help make a difference.
